✨ Spirit Guide Collection: Volume One

Abstract portals of feminine energy and frequency — each Spirit Guide is a mirror, a message, and a sacred remembrance. Painted through intuition and marked with ceremonial symbols of strength, transformation, and connection.

By Missy Tripp Ronquillo

The Spirit Guide Collection is an intuitive body of abstract portraiture that channels presence, symbolism, and sacred feminine energy. Each painting in the collection represents a spirit guide — not in a literal sense, but as an energetic frequency captured in form.

These guides came to me through a meditative, spontaneous process. Without sketches or plans, I allowed each presence to reveal itself over time. Their faces are adorned with symbolic markings inspired by tribal, ceremonial, and ritualistic traditions — each mark speaking to themes of transformation, protection, identity, resilience, and spiritual connection.

As the series evolved, the markings themselves began to feel like a visual form of poetry — subtle shifts in line, shape, and placement giving voice to each guide’s distinct energy. Some paintings feel like whispers, others like declarations. All are invitations to connect with something beyond the visible.

Created during a period of deep personal reflection and healing, this work bridges the mystical and the emotional, the ancient and the now. The collection resonates with viewers who are drawn to intuitive art, spiritual exploration, and the quiet power of feminine wisdom.

Each guide is a mirror.

Each painting is a portal.

And together, they form a chorus of strength, softness, and remembrance.

Introducing:

"The Shaman" — My Spirit Guide Wears a Stetson

In the fall of 2024, while on an artist residency in Santa Fe, something shifted.A whisper turned into a calling — and that calling became the Spirit Guide Collection.

It all started with a trip to Ghost Ranch, a place so rich with ancient spirit and quiet power that you can feel it humming through the earth. My friend and I spent the day hiking under the wide desert sky, dreaming about what it would be like to live right here — creating, breathing, belonging to the land.

Georgia O’Keeffe knew exactly what she was doing when she moved out here. The wildness. The solitude. The sacred spaciousness.Standing there among the cliffs and canyons, it became clear: I didn’t just want to visit this life — I wanted to live it.Rooted. Wild. Free.

"Wander Brave. Love Big. Make Beauty." ~ MTR 2024

That day, something else happened. The Spirit Guides made themselves known — pressing into my mind, demanding to be seen, felt, and painted.I couldn’t shake the feeling.I couldn’t look away.

"The Shaman" was the first to step forward.Grounded, wise, untamed — and wearing a Stetson.(My Spirit Guide Wears a Stetson.)

"The Shaman"
"The Shaman"

In ancient traditions, a shaman is a bridge between worlds — a healer, a visionary, a guide. They enter altered states of consciousness to gather insight, bringing healing and wisdom from the spirit realm back into the physical world. They walk between what is seen and unseen with deep trust and fierce love.

"The Shaman" is that energy for me.She opened the door. She reminded me to paint from intuition, not expectation. To listen deeply, even when the path isn’t clear. To trust what I feel more than what I can prove.

She started it all. And from her, the entire Spirit Guide Collection was born — a body of work rooted in sacred connection, energy, remembrance, and unseen knowing.

It all began that crisp fall day at Ghost Ranch.Just me, the desert, a dream... and a Spirit Guide in a Stetson, leading the way.

The Beginning of "The Shaman"
The Beginning of "The Shaman"

This painting came to me during meditation under the wide New Mexico sky.

A Spirit Guide shot into my field — fierce, wild, and wise.

It was Georgia O’Keeffe… wearing a Stetson.

She is my Shaman.

She is the beginning of it all. ✨

Each Spirit Guide carries galaxies in her gaze — stars stitched into her soul, moons hidden in the folds of her heart.
