She really is the heart of this collection.
Last fall, I spent time in Italy — some of it alone, some of it with an incredible friend, and some of it with 17 artsy women. Some were lifelong friends, some were brand-new, but every one of them felt like a gift.
That time lifted me out of a pothole I didn’t even realize how deep I was in.
This piece holds the essence of what Italy gave me:
space to breathe, permission to soften, laughter without urgency, beauty without effort. Long meals. Wandering. Color. Connection. The quiet joy of being exactly where you are.
Il dolce far niente isn’t just a phrase — it’s a feeling.
And this painting is that feeling, held still. It’s gratitude.
It’s healing.
It’s the moment I remembered myself again.
Il dolce far niente
the sweetness of doing nothingShe isn’t rushing.
She isn’t fixing.
She isn’t becoming anything other than what she already is.
This piece is an ode to pause — to lingering in the moment, to sipping slowly, to letting the day unfold without agenda. Inspired by Italy and the quiet permission it gives you to rest inside pleasure, color, and presence.
The oversized glasses, the Aperol glow, the relaxed posture — all reminders that life doesn’t need to be earned to be enjoyed.
This Spirit Guide whispers:
You don’t have to prove anything today.
Joy is allowed.
Stillness counts.A celebration of softness, savoring, and the radical beauty of simply being.
